A Workplace Wellness Experience by Vintage Vitality™
By Nelda Rodillo | Founder of Vintage Vitality™
In today's high-demand work environments, stress doesn't always look dramatic.
It shows up quietly:
prolonged sitting
physical stiffness
mental fatigue
reduced focus and clarity
Before burnout, teams often enter a "freeze" state — where tension accumulates in the body and performance begins to decline.
The Unfreezing Hour™ is a structured, one-hour experience designed to help employees reset, restore, and return to work with greater clarity and ease.
The Unfreezing Hour™ is a guided workplace session that integrates:
gentle Tai Chi (Sun Style)
Shibashi Qigong
Breath awareness
Functional, low-impact movement
Brief reflective practice
It is designed to be:
accessible to all fitness levels
safe for adults of varying mobility
suitable for both active and sedentary roles
No prior experience is required.
Each session follows a carefully designed progression to support nervous system regulation and physical release:
Gentle Qigong movements release tension in the joints, shoulders, and breath.
A short, light group movement builds engagement while activating lower-body strength and stability.
Sun Style Tai Chi develops balance, coordination, and focused attention through smooth, continuous movement.
A mindful cool-down allows the body to settle and absorb the effects of the session.
Participants are invited to briefly note physical or mental shifts — supporting awareness and retention of the experience.
Regular participation can support:
Reduced physical tension from prolonged sitting
Improved focus and mental clarity
Better balance and body awareness
A calmer, more regulated response to stress
Increased sense of team connection
This is not a high-intensity program. It is sustainable approach to workplace wellness.
The Unfreezing Hour™ is the workplace application of Vintage Vitality™, supported by the 7 Pathways to Vibrant Aging and Resilience.
This framework emphasizes:
movement as restoration
resilience through adaptability
long-term well-being over short-term intensity
This program has been delivered to professionals working in high-pressure environments, including first responders.
Participants often report:
feeling lighter and less tense
improved mental clarity
a greater sense of calm and control
Corporate teams and offices
Government and public service units
First responders and healthcare workers
Community organizations and staff groups
Sessions can be delivered:
on-site
in community spaces
in small or large group formats
Supporting your team's well-being does not require more intensity — it requires the right kind of movement.
The Unfreezing Hour™ offers a practical, accessible way to help your team reset and sustain their energy.
