By Nelda Rodillo | Founder of Vintage Vitality™ | Creator of The Unfreezing Hour™, and Resilience Through Tai Chi™
When I wrote my first blog post earlier this year, I didn’t know where it would lead. I simply wanted to document my classes, share what I was learning, and offer gentle movement wisdom to anyone who needed it.
Today, I crossed the 200‑blog milestone — something I never imagined when I began.
Writing this many posts has taught me more than I expected.
About movement.
About teaching.
About resilience.
About myself.
Here are the lessons that have shaped me along the way.
One of the biggest reasons I’ve been able to write over 200 blog posts is simple:
I journal regularly.
Many of my blogs begin as journal entries — handwritten reflections after a class, a moment of insight, or a quiet pause in my day. And most times, I journal directly inside my blog posts. Writing here has become part of my daily journaling ritual.
This space is where I process:
what I taught
what I observed
what moved me
what I learned
what I want to remember
Because I journal consistently, the blogs flow naturally.
They are not forced.
They are not planned months in advance.
They are simply the truth of my day — captured gently, honestly, and in real time.
Over time, the writing itself revealed:
my niche (fascia + gentle movement)
my voice
my teaching philosophy
what people search for
what resonates most with readers
Clarity didn’t come first.
Consistency — through journaling — did.
Whether I’m teaching in Palmerston, Mount Forest, Harriston, Drayton, or Fergus, each session offers something worth capturing:
a moment of softness
a breakthrough
a shared laugh
a shift in the room
a student’s insight
a quiet transformation
Writing about these moments helps me honour them — and helps others feel seen in their own journeys.
Documenting my sessions has made me a better instructor.
When I write, I reflect.
When I reflect, I refine.
When I refine, I teach with more intention.
Blogging has become part of my practice — just like Tai Chi, Qigong, and Unfreezing Rotations.
My Google Search Console taught me something powerful:
People want:
Tai Chi fascia exercises
gentle mobility
stress relief
calm
grounding
movement that feels safe
This affirmed what I already believed:
gentleness is not weakness — it is medicine.
I’ve received messages from:
caregivers
seniors
young adults
people healing from trauma
individuals rediscovering movement
readers from Ontario and beyond
Many found me through a single blog post.
Writing has become a bridge — connecting me to people I may never meet in person, but who feel supported through my words.
Writing 200+ posts has taught me:
to trust my voice
to embrace imperfection
to let ideas flow
to write even when tired
to honour the small moments
to see teaching as a living, breathing practice
Every blog is a lesson — not just for readers, but for me.
My writing has become an extension of my teaching:
warm
grounded
fascia‑aware
compassionate
steady
hopeful
I’ve learned that people don’t just want information.
They want to feel safe, understood, and encouraged.
Writing allows me to offer that.
Crossing 200 blogs isn’t an ending — it’s a foundation.
There are more stories to tell.
More classes to document.
More fascia wisdom to share.
More people to reach.
More calm to offer.
And I’m excited for what comes next.
Writing these blogs has become part of my daily ritual — a way to process, to honour my students, and to share the heart of Vintage Vitality™ with the world.
If even one post has helped someone breathe easier, move with more ease, or feel less alone, then every word has been worth it.
Here’s to the next 200 — and to the gentle, meaningful work ahead.
