This video captures a guided Tai Chi session with the Cavite Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) during their Health and Wellness Program. Together, we move through a gentle Tai Chi flow designed to release tension, improve focus, and support resilience in high-stress work environments.
PDRRMO teams play a vital role in disaster preparedness and emergency response, often working under intense pressure. Practices like Tai Chi offer a simple yet powerful way to regulate stress, restore balance, and promote overall well-being—right within the workplace.
This session reflects the heart of Vintage Vitality™: moving with intention, breathing with ease, and cultivating strength through mindful, accessible movement.

Earlier today, I had the honor of being featured by the Cavite Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) as part of their ongoing Health and Wellness Program.
The PDRRMO plays a critical role in community safety. Their work includes disaster preparedness, emergency response, risk assessment, and coordination during natural and human-made crises. From typhoons and flooding to emergency rescue operations, their teams operate in high-pressure environments that demand constant readiness, quick decision-making, and emotional resilience.
The session, called an “Unfreezing Hour,” brought together responders, administrative staff, and officers for a meaningful pause from their demanding responsibilities.
Working with disaster risk reduction teams is always deeply meaningful. In professions where urgency and stress are part of daily life, creating space for stillness, movement, and breath is not just beneficial—it is essential.
During the morning session, participants were introduced to gentle Tai Chi movements designed to:
Improve balance and coordination
Support mental clarity and focus
Reduce physical tension and stress
We practiced simple, accessible movements that can be done anywhere—even within the workplace. The goal was not perfection, but awareness: moving with intention, breathing with ease, and reconnecting with the body.
What made this experience especially memorable was the level of engagement. The team was fully present—from frontline responders to administrative staff—and even their department head actively participated.
This kind of leadership involvement creates a powerful ripple effect. When leaders model well-being, it helps cultivate a workplace culture where health is not just encouraged, but truly supported.
In the afternoon, we continued with a second session, introducing a gentle Tai Chi Easy® flow. The energy in the room shifted—from calm awareness to lightness and ease.
There was more movement, more smiles, and a deeper sense of connection within the group.
Tai Chi does not always have to be quiet and slow—it can also be uplifting, energizing, and joyful.
For professionals working in high-responsibility environments like disaster risk reduction, Tai Chi offers practical, real-world benefits:
Supports nervous system regulation and stress recovery
Builds gentle strength without strain or fatigue
Improves balance, coordination, and body awareness
Enhances mental clarity and focus under pressure
These are not just wellness benefits—they are essential tools that support resilience, sustainability, and long-term performance in demanding roles.
I am deeply grateful to be part of this initiative and to support a team that serves the community with dedication, courage, and strength.
Moments like these remind us that even in the most demanding professions, taking time to pause, breathe, and move mindfully can create meaningful shifts—in both individual well-being and team dynamics.
If your organization is looking to support employee wellness through gentle, accessible movement, I would be honored to share this practice with your team.
