In Week 3, each section will participate in a Final Demonstration and Friendly Competition showcasing the Sun Style Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention sequence.
This is a team-based performance, where each section demonstrates their ability to move with control, coordination, and discipline.
This activity is designed to help you:
Apply what you have learned
Build confidence in movement
Develop teamwork and coordination
Demonstrate focus and discipline
This is not just a performance—it is part of your training.
You are not performing alone.
Each student is responsible for:
Practicing regularly
Supporting your section
Staying focused during the performance
You represent your section as a team.
Each section must:
Perform the complete Tai Chi sequence
Move in synchronization as a group
Maintain proper posture and control
Complete the sequence without stopping
A full-class synchronized flow will also be performed.
Your performance will be assessed based on:
Are movements done together as a group?
Are movements slow, steady, and balanced?
Are transitions smooth and uninterrupted?
Are you attentive, composed, and disciplined?
Does the group move as one unit?
The following may be recognized:
Top Performing Sections
Best in Synchronization
Best in Focus & Discipline
Recognition will be based on overall performance and teamwork.
To ensure an organized performance:
Stand in rows per section
Maintain equal spacing between each other
Follow your front line or assigned leader
Stay aware of your position at all times
Move slowly and with control
Stay relaxed but focused
Keep your eyes forward
Follow the group—do not rush ahead
If you make a mistake, continue and stay with the flow
Flow is more important than perfection.
Before starting:
Stand still and relax your body
Take a deep breath
Focus your attention
When ready: Move together.
Attendance and participation are required
This performance is part of your program completion
Respect and discipline are expected at all times
“Move together. Stay in control. Finish strong.”
