Join me at Renew Life Therapies (Mount Forest) on March 16 at 10:00 AM for a gentle and grounding 5 Elements Flow practice.
We'll explore flowing movements inspired by the Five Elements - supporting balance, coordination, breath and inner calm. This class is suitable for all levels and designed to leave you feeling centered and refreshed.
Join me on March 6 for a gentle, supportive Tai Chi class designed especially for women 50+. No experience needed - just come as you are.
You'll leave feeling steadier, calmer and more connected to your body.

Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of offering gentle Tai Chi and mindful movement classes in collaboration with community centres, wellness clinics, libraries, and seniors’ programs across Mount Forest, Palmerston, and surrounding areas.
These small-group sessions focused on improving balance, mobility, confidence, and fall prevention through accessible and supportive Tai Chi practice.
The workshops and class series below are some of the programs offered in partnership with local organizations and wellness spaces — many of which filled quickly and may be offered again in future sessions.

Nelda Rodillo was invited to present "The Benefits of Tai Chi" as part of the Harriston Dining Program hosted by the Seniors' Centre for Excellence.
This educational wellness session introduced older adults to the physical and mental health benefits of Tai Chi, with a focus on improving balance, mobility, fall prevention, relaxation, and overall well-being through gentle, accessible movement.
Participants learned how Tai Chi can support healthy aging by enhancing stability, reducing stress, and promoting greater body awareness in a safe and supportive community environment.
Nelda Rodillo was invited to lead a "Try-It Tai Chi" workshop as part of the Health & Connection Fair hosted by the Seniors' Centre for Excellence.
This community event brought together health professionals, service organizations, and wellness educators to support the well-being of older adults across the region.
Participants experienced a gentle introduction to Tai Chi through guided movement and learned how mindful, low-impact practice may support balance, mobility, and fall prevention.
The session was open to seniors of all experience levels and emphasized safe, accessible movement that can be practiced seated or standing.
This introductory Tai Chi session was offered in partnership with the Seniors’ Centre for Excellence as part of the Culture Days celebration in the Town of Minto.
Participants were introduced to the foundations of Tai Chi through a gentle demonstration and guided practice. The session explored how mindful movement can support balance, bone health, and fall prevention in a safe and accessible way.
No prior experience was required, and all movements were adapted to support beginners and participants with limited mobility.
A planned co-presentation for the Harriston Dining Program focused on supporting older adults’ social connection and emotional well-being through shared cultural traditions and storytelling. The event was cancelled due to weather.

A 90-minute gentle Tai Chi and Qigong workshop planned at Renew Life Therapies in Mount Forest. This small-group session was designed to restore energy, improve balance and flexibility, and support relaxation through accessible mindful movement practices including Shibashi Qigong and Five Elements Tai Chi.
An outdoor community Tai Chi gathering planned at Palmerston Park as an opportunity for gentle movement, connection, and shared mindful practice. This informal session was designed to support balance, relaxation, and confidence in a welcoming, no-cost environment.
A community Tai Chi workshop offered during the Minto Farmer's Market at the Palmerston Railway Heritage Museum. This all-ages session introduced gentle foundational Tai Chi movements to support balance, mobility, and relaxation in an accessible outdoor setting.
Participants were guided through simple, flowing exercises designed to improve body awareness, coordination, and calm - followed by time to enjoy local farm and artisan vendors at the market.

Nelda Rodillo facilitated a 6-week evening Tai Chi series at United Church Palmerston, created in response to requests from community members who were unable to attend daytime classes.
Due to strong interest, the program welcomed 30 participants. To ensure a safe and supportive practice environment, an additional time slot was introduced on the same evening, offering sessions from 6:00 - 7:00 PM and 7:15 - 8:15 PM.
This small-group program supported participants in deepening their Tai Chi practice through gentle, accessible movements designed to promote relaxation, balance, mobility and overall well-being.

Nelda Rodillo led a full-day community wellness event at the Palmerston Lions Den, offering both Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention and Gentle Yoga sessions across multiple time slots to accommodate participants of varying schedules and fitness levels.
Designed for all ages and abilities, this event provided an inclusive and supportive environment for individuals seeking to improve balance, reduce stress and reconnect with their bodies through mindful movement. Participants were introduced to accessible Tai Chi and Yoga practices that promote mobility, relaxation, and overall well-being.
The flexible class schedule allowed attendees to engage in one or more sessions throughout the day, supporting consistency and encouraging the development of sustainable self-care routine.
